Spring Chinook on the Columbia River
The Spring Chinook continue to make their way up the Columbia River to the mouth of the Clearwater River. Fish and Game has announced another banner year on our river and has opened the season early. With the opener on the 25th Of April fishing should get really good starting the first week of May.
These fish are great table fare, both BBQ and smoked. We have 2 guides available, Bryan Miller and Tom Bullock to take care of our clients. We’ll isolate the lower part of the river and eventually follow them up towards Orofino. The water level is a little lower than it is typically speaking this time of the year and could create some side drifting eggs in the deep holes. If any event, Tom and Bryan are excellent fishermen and hard on our Salmon fishing. With all our adventures, we supply the bait and tackle, beverages, and cook a hot BBQ lunch on one of our beaches.
