Hanford Reach Fishing Tips

Hanford Reach Salmon Fishing Hot!

Want a Hanford Reach Salmon Fishing Tip, It’s Hot! Besides the hot fishing, the weather has been awesome.  Stott’s fishing guide Jeremy Eubanks fished his Southern Idaho wine group for 3 day limits. There are many different techniques but we found it was brad’s divers and Pro-Cure eggs that was the hot ticket. Most importantly, the Hanford Reach fish are big and beautiful.

Last Free Flowing Stretch

This Columbia River fishery is super cool and offers such a different aspect to Salmonfishing  Traditional down river fishing on the main part of the Columbia is special. The Hanford Reach has the last free flowing stretch on the Columbia River. Because of the free flowing stretch, it provides great spawning grounds to our “Up river brights”. Typically this time of the year the fish will start to color up from the warmer water and time spent in the river. As of late,  most of our fish we are catching are still chrome and cut up nicely for the BBQ.

Hanford Reach King Salmon

Besides the cool scenery, the fish in the Reach are big. These are the same fish that we catch over at Buoy 10. Catching salmon in the 30 pound class is common. These fish are also known as up-river brights and cook very nice on the BBQ. Our guide service will spend the better part of 6 weeks down on this Mid-Columbia fishery.

We supply the bait and tackle so just bring your buddy and a fishing license. We are sponsored by Gary Loomis Edge Rods, our anglers fish the best rods in the industry. We guarantee at least 8 hours of fishing and most importantly, provide fishing memories for a lifetime.

If you didn’t fish Alaska and couldn’t get to Buoy 10, this is your fishery! Give our office a call to book your Hanford Reach King Salmon fishing adventure.
