Fishing Steelhead on the Snake River
Hellar Bar-Snake River
Steelhead fishing has been decent around the Hellar Bar area of the Snake River-Hells Canyon. The Snake River fishing typically has a smaller strain of steelhead than our Clearwater cousin. More important, is there are lots of fish. Lately our fishing guides have seen some 35-36 inch fish.
Most of our boats are averaging 6-10 fish per day. Anglers that want to tangle with a Hells Canyon monster, our sturgeon fishing has been good. Besides the nice weather, we’ve seen lots of wildlife. We are on the front end of our steelhead run that lasts through February. We have 5 full time guides that work exclusively for Stott’s and make fishing their full time job
Our guide service is sponsored by Gary Loomis Edge rods , therefore our clients fish the best rods in the world. Part of our fishing brand is serving our clients a hot BBQ lunch. The Snake River has many white sandy beaches. We also provide beverages and hot coffee. Our fishing guide service guarantees at least 8 hours of fishing. We also provide a fun filled day on this premier Northwest fishery.
