Confluence Steelhead Fishing
July 15th started the catch and release season on the Clearwater River. With the weather so hot and the water on the warmer side, the fish have showed up a little later than usual. Cool mornings are starting to set in and the water temp is really starting to drop so with that in mind, the fish are moving in. Tom Bullock reported this week with good catches and plenty of fish to target. Trolling and bobber fishing is the preferred method which works on both the steelhead and the salmon.
The Clearwater River will start to get good now on the lower section for both jet and drift boats. The counts over the dam are rising and our season is under way. This time of the year brings great weather and hot fish with the excitement in the air of acrobatic fish. Steelhead fishing only gets better with each day passing as more and more fish travel up the Columbia and Snake to their final destination of the Clearwater river. Make sure you give us a call to get on the books during this busy time of the year. Tight Lines
