Lyons Ferry Guided Fishing Trips
Lyons Ferry, at the confluence of the Snake, Palouse and Tucannon Rivers, located in SE Washington is considered world-class walleye fishing. The Lyons Ferry sits between Lower Granite Dam upstream and the Ice Harbor Dam downstream. It has ideal habitat and massive forage base that is the perfect storm for growing trophy walleye. This nutrient mix from the three rivers creates strong baitfish populations that promotes fast growth and huge body weights. Our professional walleye guide team fishes the Lyons Ferry area, Lake Hubert section of the Snake River for the better part of 8 months. We chase big fish in early Spring with anglers looking for their personal best walleye. There are walleyes caught in the middle teens pound range with a few in the 17-to-18-pound class. If you are looking for high numbers of eater sized walleye, there is no shortage of 18–22-inch fish in the system.
Walleye Fishing on the River
Our walleye team is committed to the changes that occur when fishing river systems. The water flows, along with the pre and post spawn habits, create our approach to catching fish. Are we fishing the river current stretches of the system or targeting the reservoirs pools? Walleye also congregate to the Palouse and Tucannon tributaries during the spawning time which makes for some fantastic fishing moments. The approach for each season and place can be very different and why we love chasing walleye.
Join us for this incredible Pacific Northwest Adventure and see why this sneaky fishery is becoming a hot bed for catching giant walleye.

Fishing Techniques on Lyons Ferry
Lyons Ferry is unique because it fishes like a river, a reservoir, and a current driven system all in the same place. The best anglers will choose techniques based on season, current flow, fish proximity, and bait fish. That’s why we are committed to using the most effective and latest techniques throughout our trips. Vertical Jigging is a cold-water killer, Blade baits stimulate a reaction bite, Crankbaits trolling on humps are deadly, Slow Death and Harness rigs are killer on post spawn flats. Our most exciting is pitching swim baits in the shallows and has become a fan favorite to those anglers that want to resemble catching bass. Don’t sleep on this technique, it catches BIG walleye. On each guided trip, our guide will discuss the best technique options that have been used for the most recent success. If you have a preference, please console with your guide to make sure your preference has had recent success. We do like feedback!
If you are wondering, YES, we use live scope imagery.

Limited Pressure = Trophy Fish
The Lyons Ferry fishery has limited fishing pressure unlike places like Lake Erie, Dakotas and other relative Midwest fishing. With lower overall angling pressure and fewer tournaments, this allows more fish to reach trophy size. We also have a longer growing season with mild Winters that allow walleye to aggressively feed much of the year. This produces healthy, heavy, big fish.
