Special Events – Charity Tournaments – Kids Camps

The Stottlemyre Family continues to make a difference in fighting the dreadful disease of cancer. Being that, the Stotts Fishing Special Events calendar keeps our fishing clients informed. Besides running a guide service, the family hosts Special Events, Charity Tournaments and Kids Camps. The family has helped raise millions of dollars for cancer research with special events. Hosting  golf tournaments and fishing tournaments, in hope of finding a cure. The baseball family continues to do their part in raising awareness through their baseball and fishing platforms.

The Stott’s Fishing team knows the importance the family puts on holding special events and charity tournaments. Therefore, with each booked fishing trip, the guide service will donate $5 towards the Mel Stottlemyre Family Foundation. The foundation has donated money to the following organizations. Make a Wish, Leukemia Society of America, Youth Unlimited Outdoors, Children’s Hospital and Camp Primetime.

“Our family is very fortunate to be able to help out kids and less fortunate people through our programs” It’s our wish to create some memories and smiles that will make a difference. Our loyal fishing clients are a big part of that too! Together, we can all make a difference

Cast 4 a Cure – Celebrity Fishing Tournament

The Stottlemyre family has been very fortunate to have Major League Baseball be a big part of their lives. Matter of fact, the family has combined for 80 years at the professional level. Undeniably, being a part of 12 World Series is incredible. As a result of the business, traveling and meeting new people was a positive thing.  The family has and still continues to donate money to cancer research with the help of many of their friends. Our foundation, Stottlemyre’s striking out Cancer has taken on a new meaning. With the growth of our fishing business came new friends and relationships. In 2014 we hosted the first ever Celebrity Cast 4 A Cure Fishing tournament. Most important, we brought many of our close friends to Lewiston for a 2 day steelhead fishing event.

Special Events for Raising Cancer Awareness

In 2015 we created the Cast for a Cure Celebrity Fishing Tournament and foundation that will continue to donate to cancer research. We also have visions to help out terminal ill kids and their families. The Stottlemyre family has their own experiences with Cancer as they lost Jason to leukemia at the young age of 12. Mel Sr. still continues to fight his battle with multiple myeloma and remains optimistic that someday we’ll have a cure. The family remains committed to fighting the fight of this nasty disease. Please follow along Stotts Fishing special events calendar for the next charity event.
